Chinese Ideas

Several sources agree that the town of Yangshuo located in Southeast China is an excellent place to hit. It's like this small farming community settled into a valley of intense mountains. Great day trips on hired bicycles apparently. We're farm boys (kind of), I think we'd fit in (save the language barrier and a host of other things). Also, Shigatse, Gyantse and Lhasa in Tibet (all within 50 km. of each other) are a "must-see" - whatever that means. Lots of monks, mountains, monasteries and incredible Tibetans. A couple of ideas - enjoy.

Sounds sweet man, I like the idea of visiting a small community. I was also looking into visa stuff for getting into the country. It looks like I could get the visa in Bangkok, you could probably get one in Canada before you left and it would be alright. I'll post a site I found regarding all sorts of visa travel info.
